Please contact us with your delivery address and the spa you wish to purchase and we can quote delivery price.
A standard delivery and install is when experienced delivery drivers can unload the spa off the truck in a safe location kerbside or to your front yard. We have a relationship with a reputable spa delivery company who then take over to help get your spa to its final location. We let the customer and delivery company liase with each other at this stage. Once the spa is landed in position your electrician can connect the spa.
The spa delivery company will contact you to ask you some questions and possibly request some pictures or measurements to ascertain if they can do the job, without the aid of a seperate crane. If a crane is required then we can organise this or give advice. The customer will be responsible for the cost of the final spa positioning and crane if required.
If you live in regional areas where we don’t have a spa delivery expert, we can arrange for your spa to be sent to a local depot. Then local transport can be arranged so the spa can be picked up and delivered to your home. Alternatively you can elect to pick it up yourself from our warehouse or a local warehouse.
Spas and Swim Spas can be set into a deck, and look great when done so. If you plan on setting your spa into a deck, then it advisable to land the spa into position first and then build the deck around it. Bear in mind that access to all sides of the spa is needed for future maintenance or repairs. An access hatch or hatches are advisable. We recommend you allow at least 600mm clearance around all four sides for spas and 900mm for swim spas .
When you choose the location of your spa, you need to consider if there is a sufficient supporting foundation.
The area that your spa sits on must be able to support the weight off 500KG per square meter (spas) and 1,000KG per square meter (swim spas) . If the foundation is inadequate, it may shift or settle after the spa is in place, causing stress to the shell.
- If the spa is to be located on a deck, make sure the deck can withstand the combined weight mentioned above
- For a concrete slab, a level base of 100mm minimum is required to place your spa upon or 200mm for a swim spa. This would need to be the size of the spa plus from 500mm up to 1000mm all around. Ie. 4.8m x 2.2m White Nile Swim Spa, slab size could be 6.8m x 4.2m x 200m thick.
- A hard level paved surface is also suitable, providing the area has been designed to withstand a weight of 500KG per square meter for a spa and 1000KG per square meter for a swim spa.
The above is a guide only. Please consult a local contractor or engineer for specific requirements.
We recommend getting your licensed electrician to run the electrical circuit to the spa location before your spa arrives. They will leave a “tail” where the spa is going to be placed. Then after your spa arrives they can come back and connect it up. We will let you know what size circuit your electrician needs to run based on the spa you purchase.
None of our spas can just be plugged into a power point.
